With a background in business and a deep commitment to public service, Jasmine Alvarez has a passion for fighting for the rights of her clients. She specializes in personal injury law, immigration law, and business consulting. Her hands-on experience in legal clinics for low-income taxpayers and immigrants shapes her compassionate and relentless approach to legal representation. Fluent in English and Farsi, Jasmine practices in Maryland, Texas, and North Carolina.
Jasmine became inspired to take up the practice of law while working at a not for profit organization in San Francisco, CA. She witnessed how proper legal representation can make all the difference in a person’s life during the most stressful of situations. She earned her Juris Doctor from the University of the District of Columbia, Dave A. Clarke School of Law. What sets UDC apart from other Institutions is that each student must provide hundreds of hours of pro bono legal service in forms of a legal clinic. This helps the community as well as provides significant real-world experience to the graduate. Ms. Alvarez worked 350 hours in the low income tax payer clinic, as well as 350 hours in the immigration clinic.
In her spare time, she loves to spend every moment with her husband, sons, and dog Vince. As an avid animal lover, she dedicates her time to animal rescue. She is also an enthralled traveller and backpacker, as she has travelled over 20 countries alone. She enjoys iced coffees, British detective dramas, and has attended six Madonna tours.
She is fluent in English and Farsi, and is barred to practice in the states of Maryland, Texas, and North Carolina.
